Little Pools in the Canopy“On a forest walk, look up for leafy clumps sitting on branches. Some are bromeliads, plants that use the tree for support without taking food from it. In tank bromeliads, the leaves form a funnel that catches rain.”

Guide
Manuel Antonio National Park's cafeteria is a simple food stop at the main trail junction. The route from the entrance reaches this hub before branching toward Playa Manuel Antonio and Punta Catedral on one side, or the Mirador and Puerto Escondido trails on the other. It's a useful pause between walking and the beach; you reach it on foot inside the park, not by driving up to the counter.
Expect drinks, fruit, pastries and ice cream; other menu descriptions also mention smoothies, salads, pizza and sandwiches. It's quick cafeteria food rather than a destination restaurant, and the exact menu isn't confirmed, so don't plan around a particular dish.
Restrooms are reported at the junction, but it's unclear whether they're inside the cafeteria or in a nearby park facility. From here, continue toward the beach branch for Playa Manuel Antonio and Punta Catedral, or take the other branch toward Mirador and Puerto Escondido. The nearby Mirador Trail climbs stairs to two coastal viewpoints, a steeper option after a break.
