Trail guide
High Corner Walk is a 3.5-mile (5.5 km) loop from High Corner Car Park, returning to the same start. Allow about two hours; the route is described as moderate. It is a woodland circuit with the High Corner Inn directly on the route, making a food or drink stop easy to add. The published 3.5 miles covers the complete loop.
Leave the car park on the gravel track, pass the inn, then take the right-hand path at the first fork. Continue through woodland past one side turning. At the next junction, go right onto a path running roughly parallel to the way you came. At the T-junction turn left to rejoin your earlier approach, then left again toward the car park. The mapped line measures about 3.4 miles, close to the published rounded distance.
Start at Forestry England's High Corner Car Park, with about 15 spaces and no toilets; parking is paid. The inn sits beside the route if you'd like food or a drink. Dogs are welcome on this walk. The directions identify the gravel approach and main turns but give little detail about most of the footing, climbing or seasonal conditions.
