That road is narrow with limited passing, and vehicles over 25 feet aren’t recommended. Budget roughly 25–45 minutes to transition from the overlook to the boardwalk parking, depending on where you’re starting.
Best Time to Visit
Weekends build to a midday crush; late morning through mid‑afternoon is typically busiest. Early mornings are the calmest any day of the week. Fall is especially photogenic from this high angle when the hardwoods light up.
