Guide
The Beaumont Cabin is a small historic log cabin just behind Olympic National Park’s main visitor center in Port Angeles. If you’re already at the center, it’s an easy extra stop rather than a separate outing. A short paved approach leads to the facade. Interior access isn’t confirmed, so plan on an exterior look.
Weathered horizontal logs, small windows, a screen door and a moss-covered roof give the cabin its character. The straight-on approach frames the whole front; step to the side to see the stone chimney and notched log corners. The adjacent visitor center has parking and public restrooms for the broader stop.
The cabin dates to the 19th century and is associated with the Beaumont family. It was later restored and moved beside the visitor center, where visitors can get a close look at an older local building without taking on a hike.
