Coco Plum Beach is a public natural beach on Marathon's Atlantic side, with a wetland alongside it. It's a small shoreline for a quick walk or swim, not a long sweep of open sand. High tide can leave little beach exposed, and seaweed can affect the swim, so I'd treat it as a short stop unless the beach looks inviting.
The wetland is part of the setting, and Coco Plum is a sea turtle nesting beach. Marathon's nesting season runs from April 15 through October 31. Leave nesting areas undisturbed, fill holes before leaving, keep trash off the sand, and avoid unnecessary artificial light near the shore.
