The Historic Requa Inn is a 1914 Arts and Crafts inn above a steep bank of the Klamath River at Requa, outside Redwood National Park's boundary but within the redwood-coast travel area. Stay here for an old house with antique-furnished rooms and views over the river; you can also come for breakfast without booking a room. Some rooms look over the river, so confirm when choosing one if that view matters.

The dining room's public breakfast includes biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, country potatoes, and yogurt with homemade granola. Breakfast is the meal to plan around; call ahead before counting on dinner, which is not reliably offered nightly. Groups over six are asked to reserve.

A working-river pastRequa grew around Klamath River fishing and canneries.

Requa grew around Klamath River fishing and canneries. An earlier Klamath Inn served cannery workers, burned in 1913, and the current inn was rebuilt in 1914. The building later housed the Klamath Post Office; it took the Requa Inn name in 2002.

River views from shared spaces are a recurring part of a stay here, and the inn is a base for nearby redwood parks and coast drives. This is an older building: guests report some awkward fixtures and patchy phone or internet connections, tradeoffs to weigh if modern rooms or reliable connectivity matter more than character and river setting.
