Trail guide
Little Creek Trail is about a 0.4-mile out-and-back from Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway to a memorial bench. Follow the dirt path up the south side of a small canyon and return the same way; allow about 30 minutes. Choose it for a brief walk through ferns and mixed forest, rather than a classic old-growth redwood grove.
The path rises away from Little Creek near the start, then levels on higher ground before reaching the bench. The one-way corridor is about 0.22 mile, with roughly 90 feet of ascent; walk it back for about 0.4 mile total. The bench is the current endpoint. A former continuation beyond it is no longer evident, so turn around there.
Start at the signed Little Creek Trail access on the east side of Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway. Roadside pullout parking is available at the access. Dogs are not allowed on trails in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park except for service animals.
