Revelation Trail is a quarter-mile loop just south of Prairie Creek Visitor Center, winding through old-growth redwoods. It is flat and short; allow about 15 minutes for the walk, more if you stop at each prompt. This is a quick, close look at the forest, not a long hike. A short access spur leads from the campground side-road into the loop and is retraced to the same start.

Interpretive prompts invite you to feel rough redwood bark beside soft, moss-covered fir or spruce, listen for Prairie Creek, smell California bay and notice the tart taste of redwood sorrel. The trail was designed for visitors with visual impairments, so it gives you something to notice beyond the canopy and the size of the trees.

The route is compacted aggregate, about five feet wide on average, with slopes generally below five percent. A short section of ramped walkway curves around redwood trunks. It is designated as an accessible loop; its payoff is being close to the trees and sensory details, not a viewpoint or a long forest journey.

Finding the accessThe marked entry is on the side-road toward Elk Prairie Campground, south of the visitor center.
