Mirador Cuernos

The path first reaches a viewing platform above Salto Grande, where Lago Nordenskjöld meets Lago Paine. Continue to a small black-sand beach, then follow the narrower, gradually climbing trail to the lookout. The beach is about 1.5 km beyond the falls; keep going for the final view across the lake.

The destination is a small fenced opening raised above the shore, with the Cuernos directly opposite. From here the lake gives the pointed towers room in the frame, with the wider Paine range stretching behind them. The walk is mostly gentle, but the trail narrows after the waterfall and climbs toward the viewpoint.

For a more layered photo, stop at the black-sand beach and frame the Cuernos over driftwood, branches or shoreline rocks. Wind can rough up the water and the skies change quickly, so the view can look different on the return walk.

The trail starts at the Salto Grande parking area beside park road Y-150, near Pudeto and its catamaran departure area. There is also parking at Estancia Pudeto; if the upper lot is full, starting there adds about 1 km each way. Strong winds have led to trail closures before, so check access locally and follow ranger directions.
