Overview
The campground takes its name from the nearby wooden bridge, once a popular place to fish for native Yellowstone cutthroat trout. Fishing from the bridge is no longer allowed, but people still stop on its walkways to watch trout, pelicans and other waterfowl on the clear river. The bridge is a separate, nearby stop rather than part of the RV park.

Fishing Bridge RV Park is Yellowstone’s 310-site campground for hard-sided RVs, near where the Yellowstone River leaves Yellowstone Lake at about 7,800 feet. It’s a practical base around the lake and East Entrance road, more useful for its location and hookups than as a scenic stop in its own right. It is the park’s only campground with full water, sewer and electrical hookups. Tents and tent camping are prohibited because this is grizzly bear country. Reservations are required, and the campground operates seasonally, so check current dates before planning a night here.
The upper loop has 172 renovated paved sites, ranging from 40 to 95 feet; most are pull-through, while the 40-foot pads are back-in. The lower loop has gravel back-ins for 30- to 35-foot rigs and some narrower 30-foot sites. Check your RV and tow vehicle’s combined length against the site before booking. If a picnic table matters, confirm it for your particular site.
Both loops have comfort stations with flush toilets. Camper services include showers and laundry, and the dump station is near the entrance. The registration building has a small shop for light snacks, sundries and souvenirs, so plan a meal elsewhere. The operator warns that electrical supply is limited and temporary outages can happen when demand is high.
Visitors report bison and other wildlife wandering through the campground. This is bear country, too: keep food stored as required and give any animal a wide berth.
