This seven-site campground sits beside the Main Fork of Rock Creek, about seven miles south of Red Lodge. It suits travelers looking for a shaded overnight near the Beartooth drive, rather than an open-view stop. From Red Lodge, follow US 212 south, turn east onto East Side Road, and continue about 0.3 mile; the campground is on the left.
Sites are a mix of reservable and first-come, first-served. Facilities include vault toilets, potable water, a campground host, a bear-resistant dumpster and firewood for purchase; the vault toilet is marked accessible. Small trailers and RVs only, with a 20-foot maximum trailer length and no turnaround, so check your rig before turning in. Visitors often praise the clean toilets and helpful host. Mosquitoes are a recurring complaint in warmer periods, and some sites have limited privacy or nearby road and cabin traffic.
