Before you go

Best time to go

Turn onto East Side Road from U.S. 212 south of Red Lodge. The final approach is unpaved; visitors repeatedly describe it as narrow and rough, and the tight turnaround can be awkward for larger trailers. Sites 5 through 8 are 30 feet or shorter. It is a weather-dependent summer campground, generally open from late May to early September, with both reservable and first come, first served sites.
