Tucked at Milepost 407.6 near Mount Pisgah, Buck Springs Gap Overlook is a quiet pullout with an east-facing panorama and a surprising dose of history. It’s also a launch point for a short stretch of the Mountains-to-Sea and historic Shut-In Trail, making it a great stretch-your-legs stop rather than just a windshield view.
