Ballater Caravan Park is a touring-caravan and motorhome site with 40 pitches and a separate tent camping area beside the River Dee. It suits a few days exploring Royal Deeside better than a quick sightseeing stop: Ballater is about a five-minute walk, and the site gives direct access to the Seven Bridges route and the Deeside Way.
The site lists toilets and showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, fresh water, electric hookups, a motorhome service point, waste disposal, recycling and Calor gas sales. Visitors repeatedly praise the toilet and shower block for its cleanliness. Black toilet-waste disposal is available to non-residents. No on-site food outlet is listed, so plan on Ballater for cafés, restaurants and shops.
The Deeside Way follows the old Deeside railway line, making it an easy route to explore on foot or by bike. The campsite’s locked bike hub stores up to 20 standard bikes and has dedicated adaptive-bike storage; e-bike charging isn’t available there. The riverside setting and walkable village make this a useful base if you want to leave the vehicle parked between outings.
