Trail guide
All Abilities Trail is a one-mile loop through Anagach Woods, starting from the car park beside Grantown-on-Spey's outdoor curling pond on Forest Road. It is an easy, low-level walk through old Caledonian pinewoods. The route is described as suitable for all abilities, with flat, smooth, firm paths and no gates or steps. Allow about 45 minutes.
Anagach also has separate green, blue and red trails, which are longer walks through the same woodland network. Keep to the dedicated All Abilities line on your map for this short circuit. It is a simple way to spend part of an hour among the pines without committing to the longer circuits in the same network.
The community-owned woods are cared for by the Anagach Woods Trust and local estates. They are important habitat for the rare and endangered capercaillie. From April to mid-August, keep dogs on a short lead and stay on the paths to help protect the birds.
