Cairngorms National Park, SC
A short, steep moorland climb to views over Strathgarry.
Overview
Struan Point Walk is a 2.5-mile out-and-back from Struan across heather moorland to the ridge at Struan Point and An Teampan. The reward is an open view over Strathgarry and Blair Atholl. It is a short route, but the fairly steep climb makes it feel like a proper hill walk; allow about 1¾ hours.

Trail guide
Expect rough grass and earth, a fairly steep slope, and ground that can be muddy. Two gates cross the route. You return by the same path. Dogs are welcome in the park; keep yours close to heel, especially from April through August, and follow local signs. The walking map marks a car park near Calvine but does not clearly show that as the start for Struan Point, so confirm where to park and how to reach the path before setting out.
The view opens over Strathgarry and Blair Atholl. A stone cairn stands on Struan Point, and the mapped path continues west to An Teampan before you turn back. The cairn makes a strong foreground for a photo with the valley behind it.
