This coastline delivers regular encounters: harbor seals weaving the kelp, colorful fish, sea hares, and purple urchins beneath you. Bird life is constant overhead, and on land you’ve got a real chance of spotting the endemic island fox near Scorpion. Wildlife is wild—some days are quieter, some days it’s a show.

• You’ll get wet. They provide wetsuits, spray jackets, helmets, and PFDs; quick‑dry layers are your friend.
• There’s no food service on the island. Bring lunch, snacks, and plenty of water for the day.
• Restrooms are simple vault toilets near Scorpion Campground; there’s no vehicle access, store, or Wi‑Fi.
