Venford Falls is a small cascade on Venford Brook, just north of Venford Reservoir. It drops over uneven, moss-covered rock ledges into a shallow pool under dense foliage. This is a close-up woodland waterfall rather than a grand drop; the appeal is the tucked-away setting and the layered green rock around the water.
At the bottom, the cascade makes a strong close-up, with dark mossy ledges around the water and foreground stones showing its scale. The pool is shallow, so this is a brief look at a tucked-away waterfall rather than a swimming stop. It suits visitors who enjoy finding lesser-known falls and are comfortable on rough ground. Skip it if a steep, potentially slick descent would spoil the visit.
