Jenny Lake Lodge is the park’s refined, rustically elegant hideaway: a cluster of historic log cabins tucked into the trees at the base of the Tetons. It’s intimate, quiet, and designed for people who want a splurge-worthy stay inside the park without the bustle of a big hotel.
You’re not on the lakeshore here, but you are a short walk from Jenny, String, and Leigh Lakes. Expect forested privacy, mountain views peeking through the trees, and a genuinely tranquil atmosphere. It feels secluded yet puts prime scenery at your doorstep.
About three dozen individual and duplex cabins are spread around the property, outfitted with fine linens, down comforters, and handmade quilts. The style is old‑Wyoming charm with modern comforts. WiFi and free guest parking are available. Note: cabins intentionally keep the ambience simple—no TVs and no air conditioning—so plan to enjoy the cool mountain evenings.
Food is a headline feature. Stays include a full breakfast and an acclaimed five‑course dinner in the lodge’s dining room, which leans fine‑dining while still feeling relaxed. Dinner reservations are required; plan ahead if you’re aiming for a special occasion or peak dates.
This is an easy launch point for hiking and paddling days around Jenny, String, and Leigh Lakes. Cruiser bikes and horseback rides are included with your stay (reserve ride times early). While the lodge isn’t a formal trailhead, you can be on classic Teton paths within minutes.
The surrounding lakes and forest are good habitat—guests commonly report moose, deer, elk, black bears, and plenty of birdlife in the broader area. Bring binoculars, keep distance, and follow all wildlife guidance.
It’s a summer-only operation (roughly June–September). Outside that window, the lodge is closed, so align your trip dates accordingly.
If you want a serene, high‑touch base with standout dining and immediate access to three gorgeous lakes, yes. If you require lakeside views from your porch or you’re on a tight budget, look elsewhere and visit the area by day.
