Leeks Pizzeria

Leeks Pizzeria is a seasonal restaurant at Leeks Marina on Jackson Lake, about 10 miles north of Signal Mountain Lodge. It serves traditional and local-style pizzas, ice cream and local beer from a broad outdoor deck facing the Teton Range. I’d stop for the deck and the view first: pizza gets mixed reactions and waits can vary. It’s a summer-season business, generally closed by fall.

The outdoor deck is the main draw, with an open look across Jackson Lake toward the Teton Range. The restaurant carries the name of Stephen Leek, a rancher, conservationist and entrepreneur who settled in Jackson Hole in the 1880s. Before 1900 he established hunting and fishing camps at Leigh Lake and Jackson Lake. His photographs of starving elk during the winter of 1908–09 helped publicize their plight, and Congress established the National Elk Refuge in 1912.
