Signal Mountain Campground is a seasonal campground on Jackson Lake’s southeast shore, tucked among lodgepole pines beside Signal Mountain Lodge. It’s a good base if you want to spend the night near the water: some sites have Teton Range and Mount Moran views, and others are a short walk from shore. Don’t assume every campsite has a view; the sites vary, so check the individual listing before you reserve.
The three loops suit different setups. Loop 1 has electric and non-electric sites and allows generators; Loop 2 is non-electric but also allows generators; Loop 3 is non-electric and generator-free. Generator use in Loops 1 and 2 is limited to 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
You need a reservation; there’s no first-come, first-served site assignment at the campground. RVs and trailers are limited to 30 feet, the internal roads are narrow, and some spaces are difficult to back into. Site pads and tent areas vary, so check the exact site dimensions and photos before booking with a larger rig.
A short walk from some sites brings you to Jackson Lake, with the Teton Range and Mount Moran across the water. Nearby Signal Mountain is an isolated glacial moraine rising more than 800 feet above Jackson Hole; Mount Moran is the park’s second-highest peak. The developed area is also used by deer, elk, moose and bears, though wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
