Goony Golf is an outdoor, 18-hole miniature-golf course just off US-9 south of Lake George Village. Its bright obstacle holes wind past a castle, pirate ship, dinosaur, windmills and storybook characters. Come for a playful family round and the hand-painted roadside style; the cartoon setting is as much the attraction as the scorecard.
The course has been a Lake George fixture for more than 50 years, and its old-fashioned look is the point. Some holes have moving pieces and cut-throughs, but don’t count on every water feature or mechanism running: upkeep has varied, and parts can feel worn. If you want a polished, uniformly working course, temper expectations.
Goony Golf and Gift World share the property, so the adjacent souvenir shop is an easy add-on. The course is just off Exit 21 and has on-site parking. It is an outdoor, seasonal stop; check the current opening dates, hours and admission before making a special trip. If an adult is accompanying children without playing, check whether that person needs admission too.
