Hague Town Beach Park is a small public beach and municipal park on Lake George's northern basin. The town says the property covers 1.5 acres with more than 300 feet of shoreline. Visitors describe a sandy swimming edge with shallow water near shore, plus a grassy picnic area, tables and playground equipment; it's an easy fit for a family visit built around a swim or a relaxed lunch.

Find it at 9060 Lake Shore Drive, or Route 9N, just south of Route 8. Public parking serves the park, though capacity can be tight on a busy beach day. Swimming is seasonal, and the boat launch is open from May through October. The town warns that swimming is at your own risk when no lifeguard is on duty. Boaters need an inspection tag showing their boat was checked for invasive species.

Mrs. Robert E. Henry wanted Hague's children to have a small beach in memory of her husband. An early proposed site was dropped as too far from town; swimming at the steamer dock was considered suitable only for expert swimmers. After a public referendum, the town bought the Burgey family's 1.5-acre property, with more than 300 feet of shoreline, for $25,000. On July 7, 1955, the Town Board named it Robert E. Henry Memorial Park. The idea was simple: give local families a safer place to swim.
