Andia-te-roc-te is the preserve’s short Red loop, reached from the North/Warrick Road lot on the Blue Trail. The Red loop itself is 0.4 mi; walking in and back makes the full outing about 0.9 mi by the mapped route. Allow roughly 35–45 minutes at an easy-to-moderate pace. The payoff is a wooded opening with views toward Vermont and the eastern Sucker Brook wetlands. Only the loop distance is an official figure; the full distance includes an estimated access walk.

From the north lot, follow the Blue Trail to the Red loop, complete the circuit and return along the same Blue Trail approach. The loop starts and ends on the northern Blue Trail. Its viewpoint is not marked in turn-by-turn directions, so use the preserve map to confirm the Red and Blue connection. The published descriptions point to the eastern wetlands and toward Vermont; they do not promise an open panorama around the whole loop.

The nameThe current spelling is Andia-te-roc-te; an older preserve map spells it Andia-ta-roc-te.

The current spelling is Andia-te-roc-te; an older preserve map spells it Andia-ta-roc-te. The name is believed to be Mohawk for Lake George, though the proposed meanings differ: “Place Where the Lake Shrinks” or “Where the Mountains Close In.”
