Trail guide
Amy’s Park Red Trail North is a 3.2-mile out-and-back: follow the north Red Trail 1.6 miles from Trout Falls Road to the Blue Trail, then return the same way. The route is easy to moderate. Allow about 1 hour 45 minutes for the full walk, with extra time for pond and wetland stops. This is a point-to-point trail leg, not a loop; continuing onto Blue Trail makes a longer network hike.
From Trout Falls Road, the marked route follows a brook briefly, crosses it, then returns to an old logging road. It follows the northern pond edge to the Blue Trail, with bridges across wet sections and views over the pond. The brook and pond edge make the strongest stops; remain on marked trails.
Early spring can bring mud and slick surfaces, and beaver activity can affect trail access. Leashed dogs are allowed; camping and fires are prohibited, and hunting is by permit only. During hunting seasons, wear bright colors and hike in groups.
