Parking
Use the designated main parking area on Padanarum Road, the first lot reached on the road. It is the only Amy’s Park lot plowed in winter. The Yellow Trail starts a short walk from the lot.

Overview
Amy’s Park is named for Amy Wolgin Wiener, and its trails opened in 2012. The preserve protects the headwaters of Indian Brook and a large, unfragmented mix of forest and wetlands that helps limit development runoff into Indian Brook and Northwest Bay. The beaver ponds and stream crossing are a small, close-up look at that landscape.

Trail guide
This is the south branch of Amy’s Park’s Yellow Trail, a very short out-and-back from the main Padanarum Road lot to the beaver-dam bridge. The bridge is about 0.07 mile along the marked trail, so the return makes roughly 0.14 mile; allow 10 to 15 minutes with a stop. Choose this for a quick look at the wetland, not a longer hike. The 1.25-mile figure on the preserve map counts all Yellow Trail sections together.
The route reaches a wooden bridge over a rocky stream beside the beaver dam. Frame the bridge with the water and rocks below so the picture shows the crossing, not just the railing. The marked Yellow Trail continues beyond the bridge to a pond viewpoint and Trout Falls Road; from there it climbs steeply to the Red Trail. Those are longer extensions beyond the mapped turnaround here.
From the same main lot, the north branch reaches a rocky pond outcrop at about 0.2 mile and the second Padanarum Road lot at about 0.5 mile. It is a separate choice, not part of this bridge walk. Amy’s Park has several trails around ponds and marshes, so it is easy to turn this quick stop into a longer outing if that is what you came for.
