The shore and pier are the draw. Look along the loch with Inveruglas Isle close by, then turn your attention to the Sloy hydro station opposite the car park. It gives the stop more character than a generic pullout: boats use the pier, the water opens out in front of you, and the mountains make the scale. The old An Ceann Mòr pyramid is gone. The eight-metre timber viewing tower, installed in 2015 with 31 steps to the top, was removed after structural deterioration. If you're arriving expecting the famous pyramid, adjust the plan to a shore view instead.
