Trail guide
Drippan is a 0.56-mile (900 m) loop from Lendrick Hill car park to the remains of Drippan Farm and back through ancient semi-natural woodland. It is graded medium and listed at 30 minutes. The distance is short, but a sharp climb makes this a quick uphill outing rather than a level woodland stroll.
Follow the Drippan waymarkers uphill on a surfaced path. Views over Loch Venachar open as you climb, and the roofless farm remains appear near the high point. The circuit returns down a parallel, unpaved track. Longer Glen Finglas walks also pass the ruins, so keep to the Drippan markers for this shorter loop.
Start at Lendrick Hill car park beside the Glen Finglas Visitor Gateway, about 0.5 miles east of Brig o’ Turk. The Gateway has toilets; the car park has more than 20 permanent spaces plus 20 seasonal spaces. Dogs are welcome in these woods. The short steep rise and rougher return make sturdy footwear useful.
