These falls are a set of powerful rapids on the Garbh Uisge, where foaming water splits around a huge rock. The flow is the spectacle, rather than a tall vertical drop. It's a worthwhile detour if you're walking this wooded glen, with a rough final approach that needs more care than the main track.

From Ben Ledi car park, follow the level cycle track downstream for about 1 km, then take the rough riverside spur toward the falls. Allow roughly 15 minutes each way, plus time to look. The location pin marks the south-bank viewpoint, not the water itself. An alternative approach across the A84 uses a narrow, rough path; I'd choose the cycle-track approach.

Watch your footingThe final spur can be overgrown, muddy and slippery.

The final spur can be overgrown, muddy and slippery. Wear shoes with grip, keep back from the edge and supervise children closely. For photographs, include the large central rock to show how the current divides around it. Stay on firm ground: getting closer to the water won't improve the visit.
