Trail guide
Beach 6 Nature Trail is a roughly 0.42-mile out-and-back from U.S. 101 to the Pacific, about 0.21 mile each way. Allow around 20 minutes for the access path, then add time if you stay on the beach. The longer Kalaloch Beaches walk follows a separate route.
The path crosses coastal forest and drops about 40 meters from the road to the shore. Retrace it for the return; the same short distance climbs back uphill. Tread, steps, and handrails are not documented, so do not assume a paved or accessible surface.
Dark rock shelves and shallow tide pools mark the shoreline near the route’s endpoint. If you continue along the coast, check the tides first; high water can make some stretches impassable. Leashed pets are allowed on Kalaloch beaches with a leash no longer than six feet. Kalaloch Lodge’s restaurant and camp store are separate stops in the area.
