Many Parks Curve is a roadside viewpoint on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, known for its wide view over the lowland meadows called “parks.” This is a short pullout stop rather than a hike; it is a good place to pause and see how the eastern basins fit together.
Moraine Park, Upper Beaver Meadows and Horseshoe Park spread below the curve, with Deer Mountain and Longs Peak behind them. The name refers to those lowland meadow basins, not a set of separate parks. For a photo, keep the meadows in the foreground and the mountain skyline behind them; a tight crop of the peaks loses the scale of the view.
The broad valley below also shows Rocky Mountain’s glacial history. During the last major glaciation, ice from Forest Canyon, Spruce Canyon, Odessa Gorge and nearby valleys flowed together and melted in what is now Moraine Park. It left lateral moraines along the north and south sides of the meadow and a terminal moraine against Eagle Cliff.
The curve sits beside Trail Ridge Road/US-34, with parking areas and a railed boardwalk along the viewpoint. Parking and rail space can get busy, though the stop itself is brief. The road west of Many Parks Curve closes seasonally from about mid-October to Memorial Day, so check current road conditions before planning to cross the park. At this elevation, take your time, drink water and rest if you feel unwell; the park warns that altitude can cause headache, nausea, fatigue or dizziness.
