Getting there

The lot sits just east of Red Hills Visitor Center, beside Kinney Road. It has four auto spaces, and parking is the only amenity listed at the site. The visitor center separately has restrooms and a bottle-filling station; don’t count on those being at the pullout. If you’re timing a late stop, check current access for the west district’s Bajada Scenic Loop Drive: it’s open dawn to dusk, with hours that vary through the year.

Kinney Road Sunset Pullout is a small, four-space parking area just east of Red Hills Visitor Center in Saguaro’s Tucson Mountain District. It’s a short add-on if you’re already on the west side; no trail starts here, so don’t plan it as a hike or a longer outing on its own.

The National Park Service highlights this spot for sunset, but doesn’t name a particular peak or foreground. Think of it as a place to pause for late light, not a built overlook with a named vista. From the lot, you can frame saguaros and the distant mountain ridges in the same view.
