Guide
Pat’s Waterton is a corner store, gas station and rental shop at 224 Mount View Road. It is the Waterton townsite’s only fuel stop, with groceries, propane, coffee, snacks, popcorn, fishing tackle and camping basics for a last-minute top-up. Winter service is uncertain, so check ahead before counting on it for fuel outside the main season.
The four-wheel surreys seat up to five and are the signature rental; e-bikes, standard and tandem bikes, and stand-up paddleboards are also offered. Rentals are arranged in person on a first-come basis. Families use the surreys for rides around town and by the lake, though steering and pedaling one can take some effort.
Pat’s began as a service station in Waterton’s early automobile era. Accounts place its start in 1927 or 1928, so the exact year is unsettled; either way, it is one of the townsite’s long-running businesses. Brothers Tyler and Jordan Wammes took over from Pat and Sue, continuing its family-owned history.
