Wilsons Promontory National Park, VIC
A gentle wetland boardwalk beside Tidal River, with four fishing platforms.
Overview
Loo-Errn Track is an easy walk along Tidal River’s south-bank wetlands, from the rear of Tidal River Campground to the footbridge. Parks Victoria lists it as 1 km one way; walking back the same route makes it 2 km round trip. It’s a good choice for a short, level estuary walk, not a destination hike.

Trail guide
Gnarled tea trees make a tunnel near the start. Most of the track is boardwalk, with four fishing platforms designed to protect the fragile wetlands. At the bend, the path comes close to the river; the platforms look across the estuary toward Mount Oberon and the Vereker Range. There are seats and two picnic tables along the way. The bend is the best place to frame the boardwalk with the river beyond it.
Parks Victoria grades the walk 2 and lists it as suitable for electric or assisted wheelchairs. Allow about an hour for the return walk, using the published 30-minute one-way pace, plus time at the platforms. Start behind the campground; parking is in the Tidal River visitor and campground area, where the General Store stocks basic groceries. Pets aren’t allowed in the park; assistance dogs have separate Parks Victoria entry requirements.
