What Makes It Different

Unlike the forested campgrounds closer to Field, this one basks in sun with big-sky mountain vistas and very little tree cover. It’s typically calmer during the day and gets busier near dusk as road‑trippers roll in for a one‑night stop. Nights can be dark and starry thanks to minimal light around camp.

Camping Basics

Expect bare‑bones amenities: pit toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and bear‑safe food lockers (bring your own padlock).
