Dalraddy Holiday Park is a large campsite and holiday park in birch woodland at Moor of Alvie, between Aviemore and Kincraig, about three miles south of Aviemore. Its 39 hectares of birch forest and former heather moorland hold tent, touring-caravan and motorhome pitches as well as static caravans, chalets and a glamping cabin. It works best as a multi-night base for exploring the Cairngorms rather than as a day-trip attraction on its own. Road and railway noise can reach parts of the site.

The options range from hardstanding and mixed grass-and-hardstanding pitches to woodland pitches among pines. There is a tent field for up to 50 tents and The Quarry, an enclosed, tree-ringed area for group camping. Fresh water, electric hookups, toilets, showers heated by estate woodchips, laundry and chemical and grey-water disposal support longer stays. The shop sells estate meat and local produce. Wi-Fi is limited to the reception, shop and yurt.

Food and activities on siteCoffee at Dalraddy serves barista-made drinks, pastries and light snacks.

Coffee at Dalraddy serves barista-made drinks, pastries and light snacks. NaNa’s Thai Kitchen offers curries, stir-fries and starters; both have takeaway and seating in the yurt. The site also runs quad treks on Dalraddy Moor, archery and family activities such as mini quads, a magic slide and a trampoline. The park is promoted as open year-round, while food and activity schedules vary by season, so check what is running before planning around them.

From caravan park to holiday parkThe site opened in 1968 as Dalraddy Caravan Park.

The site opened in 1968 as Dalraddy Caravan Park. It is part of Alvie and Dalraddy Estates, which have been in the Williamson family since the 1920s. The entrance sign still carries the older caravan-park name.
