The south gateway to the park, Annie Spring Entrance Station sits near Mazama Village at roughly 6,000 feet. It’s the primary fee station for visitors arriving from Medford, Klamath Falls, or California, and it feeds directly onto Munson Valley Road—the climb to Rim Village. If you’re arriving in winter, this is the dependable way in when other entrances are snowed in.

All the useful stuff is a short drive beyond the entrance at Mazama Village. The Mazama Village Store stocks camping supplies, groceries, and firewood, and the gas pumps operate seasonally (generally mid-May to mid-October, with pay-at-the-pump into mid-October). There’s also the Annie Creek Restaurant & Gift Shop, plus the large, seasonal Mazama Village Campground (typically mid-June to late September/early October, weather permitting).
Wildlife
This isn’t a wildlife destination, but the surrounding forest occasionally turns up deer, squirrels, and a variety of birds. Consider any sightings a bonus as you make your way to the rim.
