Hiking Bridal Veil Falls Walk

An easy waterfall stopBridal Veil Falls Walk is a short 0.

Bridal Veil Falls Walk is a short 0.3-mile out-and-back from Gorge Parkway to a cascade on Deerlick Creek. Follow the wooded path to the boardwalk and steps, then return the same way. It is an easy add-on if you are nearby; allow about 15–20 minutes with a stop at the falls. The water spreads over shallow, layered rock shelves instead of dropping as one tall plume.

The stairs are the catchThe path drops on wooden steps to the creek, so the return means climbing those same steps.

The path drops on wooden steps to the creek, so the return means climbing those same steps. It is not a step-free walk. Start at the Bridal Veil Falls parking access across the road from the path, rather than extending onto the longer reservation trails. Dogs are allowed on leash in Cleveland Metroparks; keep the leash to eight feet or less.

What the creek is doingHardwoods and hemlocks frame the creek and its short cascades.

Hardwoods and hemlocks frame the creek and its short cascades. Flow changes with rainfall: after a wet spell the ledges can carry more water, while dry weather may leave little more than a trickle. Give the bridge and rock shelves a moment; that close view is what makes the short detour worthwhile.
