Spruce Forest Trail is an easy 0.3-mile loop through quiet boreal spruce and birch near the Denali Visitor Center. The complete loop follows a firm, wide gravel path with negligible elevation change and takes about 15 minutes. It is a short forest walk for stretching your legs while waiting for a bus or train, rather than a route for mountain views or a strenuous workout.

Use the Denali Visitor Center parking lots, then walk from the south side of the building to the signed trail junction. This route starts at the McKinley Station Trailhead, reached from the visitor-center campus via the Spruce Loop connection; the loop itself has no separate vehicle access. The mapped loop is stored as one closed route and begins and ends at that trailhead junction.
