Spalding Bay is a small-boat launch and picnic area on Jackson Lake, with two vehicle-accessible backcountry campsites at the shore. Stop to put a canoe, kayak or small boat on the water, or take a lakeside picnic break. Both campsites require a backcountry permit, and all watercraft, including non-motorized craft, require a Grand Teton boating permit.

The turnoff leaves Teton Park Road between the Mountain View and Mount Moran turnouts and is not signed. It is about 1.3 miles north of North Jenny Lake Junction. Follow the gravel road roughly two miles to the lake; it can be rough in places. Parking is very limited, about four standard spaces and four large-trailer spaces. Boat-trailer parking has extra rules, including a single-axle limit and a special permit, so check current instructions before towing.

A basic campsiteThe two sites have tent pads, fire grates, bear boxes, picnic tables and a vault toilet.

The two sites have tent pads, fire grates, bear boxes, picnic tables and a vault toilet. There is no drinking water, so bring enough for your visit. Food service is not listed at the bay; bring a picnic if you plan to eat here.

The campsites face east across the water toward Donaho Point. Conifers and grass frame the shore, and the bay is sheltered from prevailing southwesterly afternoon winds. For a photo, include the water and the point across the inlet to show the shape of the bay.
