Doug Stirling Walk is an easy 1 km one-way walk between Lorne Surf Life Saving Club and Lorne Pier. It follows gravel paths and boardwalks along the foreshore; allow about 20 minutes one way, or roughly 40 minutes if you walk back to your start. The council’s longer Visitor Centre–Shelly Beach itinerary includes this section but continues beyond both endpoints, so its 1.5 km figure describes a different route.

Shipwrecks in Louttit BayThe foreshore boardwalk passes plaques commemorating shipwrecks in Louttit Bay.
