Meigs Falls is a waterfall on Little River, viewed from a pullout on Little River Road. It’s one of the park’s easiest waterfalls to see: no trail or climb, just a look across the river. It makes a good quick pause if you’re driving this stretch and don’t want to add a hike, but the falls sit back in the trees, so expect a distant view rather than a close-up visit.
The pullout isn’t signed. Westbound from Sugarlands Visitor Center, look for it about 13 miles along Little River Road, roughly one mile past The Sinks. From Townsend Wye, head east about seven miles. In either direction, look for the large pullout and distinctive stone wall.
Stay at the designated pullout. The waterfall is across the river, and the park warns that leaving waterfall viewing areas can lead to serious injuries. For a photo, keep some of the creek and tree frame around the cascade; a tight crop can leave a small, distant waterfall with little context. The falls can be hard to pick out in dim light, so give your eyes a moment to find the white water against the dark ledge.
