Guide
The tent site and shelter are first come, first served. Small parties of six or fewer need an overnight permit. A three-night consecutive stay limit applies from June 1 through Labor Day. Isle Royale’s operating season runs April 16 through October 31.
There’s a seasonal composting toilet and water, but the water isn’t potable, so bring drinking water. Food lockers are available year-round; there’s no camp store or food service. Campfires aren’t allowed, so cook only on a self-contained stove.
