Tucked in the forest near the namesake gorge, Marble Canyon Campground is a simple, scenic base for tents and small RVs/trailers. It’s unserviced (no hookups) but practical: you get flush toilets, potable water, kitchen/cooking shelters, food lockers, and fire rings at sites. The vibe is low‑key and nature‑forward, with hiking close at hand.

Season and reservations

For 2025, the campground operates June 19–September 1, with unserviced sites reservable during that window. You’ll need a valid national park entry pass and a camping permit; a fire permit is required if you want a campfire. Check‑in is 2 p.m.; check‑out 11 a.m. Quiet hours run 11 p.m.–7 a.m. (no music, campfires, alcohol, or cannabis during that time). Generator hours are 9:00–10:30 a.m. and 5:00–7:00 p.m.

Location and nearby walks

You’re a quick stroll from Marble Canyon and close to the Paint Pots—two classic short walks that are perfect for an easy outing from camp. There’s also a small path down to a nearby stream for a quiet sit.

Wildlife and camp etiquette

This is active wildlife country. Store all food, coolers, and scented items in a vehicle or hard‑sided RV/trailer (or use the provided lockers). Keep pets leashed and never leave them unattended. Stay within your designated site, and don’t tie tarps to trees.

Best time to visit

Plan your stay within the June 19–September 1 season. Even in mid‑summer, nights can be cold, and mountain weather can flip to rain, hail, or even snow—pack layers and be ready.
