Marble Canyon: Beyond the First Bridge“Marble Canyon is coming up, and I'd stop here for dramatic canyon views without a long hike. Seven bridges cross the narrow limestone gorge carved by Tokumm Creek, with blue-green water far below.”

Trail guide
Tokumm Creek Trail is an out-and-back from Marble Canyon, covering the first 4.3 km (2.7 mi) of the mapped creek route: 8.6 km (5.3 mi) total. It follows Tokumm Creek upstream, with about 125 m (410 ft) of climbing along the mapped leg. Allow roughly 3.5 hours for the return; the current footing and pace are hard to predict on an unmaintained route.
The saved route begins at Marble Canyon parking and runs 4.3 km up-valley. Its exact current end and a safe turnaround are not confirmed. An older park guide describes a longer 12.8 km one-way route continuing toward Fay Hut, but that historic extension is not included in this distance and should not be treated as a maintained or confirmed hut route.
Parks Canada now manages the former route as an unmaintained wilderness corridor to reduce disturbance in a wildlife-connectivity area. Expect more uncertainty than on a maintained day hike, and check current access with Parks Canada before setting out. Dogs are allowed on leash and must stay under control.
