Green River Grill is the Lodge at Mammoth Cave’s full-service restaurant, across the footbridge from the visitor-center area. It’s a handy sit-down choice between cave tours or after a hike, separate from the Lantern Café’s counter service. I’d go for the convenience and Kentucky dishes; meal quality and value can be uneven.
The menu leans into regional favorites: a Kentucky Hot Brown, lemon-pepper trout, the half-pound Karst Burger, and biscuits with huckleberry jam. Some dishes are marked vegetarian or gluten-free, but the shared kitchen handles major allergens, so cross-contact is possible.
If you’re fitting a meal around a cave tour, leave a buffer; service may be quick or take longer than expected. Check with the lodge or host stand for current hours before you plan around a meal.
