What You’ll See

• Quiet, low cascades feeding the big turquoise expanse of Lake Kozjak.
• Classic panoramas toward the Lower Lakes from the ridge viewpoints near Entrance 1, with Kozjak stretching beyond.
• Wooden boardwalks skimming just above the water—beautiful, but mist can make them slick.

Getting There & Routes

• From Entrance 1: Program A reaches Kozjački most (turnaround), while Programs B and C continue across Lake Kozjak by electric boat to the Upper Lakes.
• From Entrance 2: Programs E/F/H use the boat across Kozjak to the Kozjačka side (near P2/P3). Trail K loops the entire system on foot.
• Paths are mostly easy boardwalks with occasional stairs or gentle grades; allow 2–8 hours depending on the program and pace.

Facilities and Breaks

• At the P3 boat stop and nearby Kozjačka draga meadow you’ll find restrooms and a simple café; it’s an easy picnic spot with wooden tables and benches. Similar facilities exist at the panoramic train stops (St1–St3) and both main entrances.
• Plan to carry water; you can buy drinks at park cafés, but fountains aren’t a sure thing on the trails.

Best Time to Visit

Arrive right at opening to enjoy quieter boardwalks—crowds swell around 10:00 AM in peak season. Early morning and late afternoon bring softer light and fewer people. In high season, boat lines can back up; walking the lakeside paths may be faster than waiting.

Wildlife

The wider forests harbor deer, wolves, bears, wildcats, and rare birds, but you’re unlikely to see large predators along these busy boardwalks. Stay on marked paths and keep a respectful distance from any wildlife.

Photography Tips

Shoot early or late for calmer water and warmer tones. Protect your camera from spray and consider a polarizing filter to cut glare on the lake. The ridge viewpoints near Entrance 1 frame the Lower Lakes with Kozjak beyond for big, layered landscapes.

Rules and Logistics

Your park ticket includes the electric boat and the panoramic train; the long boat ride is limited to one use per day. Conservation rules are strict: stay on marked paths, and note that swimming, drones, fires, camping, and fishing are not permitted.
