Moraine Park Campground is a developed campground on Rocky Mountain National Park’s east side, with 244 sites for tents and RVs arranged in loops among meadow and pines. It’s a practical base if you want to sleep inside the park near the Beaver Meadows entrance. Follow the signs for Bear Lake Road, then turn onto Moraine Park Road to reach the campground.
There are 49 campsites with electric hookups for 20, 30, or 50 amps. RVs, vans, and trailers can use every loop, with a 40-foot maximum length. Nineteen sites have accessibility improvements, including concrete parking pads, level paths to the table, fire ring, and tent pad, extended table tops, and raised fire rings. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and food locker; check the individual site details if access or layout matters.
Potable water is available, and flush toilets are seasonal. The dump station and clean-water fill are near the entrance; the dump station is seasonal. There are no standard showers. A rinse station for solar shower bags is available, but bring your own bag and water. There’s no camp store, though ice and firewood are sold seasonally. Fires belong in the metal fire grates, and gathering wood is prohibited.
You may see elk near the sites or hear them bugling after dark in autumn. The calls can carry across camp, but a sighting is a bonus, not part of a guaranteed show.
