Guide
Rocky Mountain General Store is a seasonal grocery and supply shop at 307 Windflower Avenue in Waterton village. It carries groceries, fresh produce, sundries, local meat, camping gear, and hardware such as axes and knives. It’s an easy place to replace forgotten basics or pick up supplies for a night outdoors, but it’s a shop rather than a sit-down meal stop.
Some foods are grown or made by local Hutterite colonies, and the store carries local meat from Back Country Butchering. Layne and Stacey Cook took over the business in 2013, when it was called Rocky Mountain Foods; they renamed it Rocky Mountain Grocery Store as the range expanded. It now trades as Rocky Mountain General Store.
The associated Rocky Mountain Pop Shop serves fountain sodas with customizable flavour shots. That’s the fun extra while you’re stocking up; there isn’t a full café menu here.
