Trail guide
Shallow Inlet Walk is a flat 0.55-mile (880 m) out-and-back, about 440 m each way, from the end of Hourigan Camp Lane to the shore. Allow around 30 minutes for the return walk. It’s a short coastal leg-stretch, with the inlet at the end rather than a longer beach ramble.
The gravel path runs through a sheltered gully of tea-tree and swamp paperbark before opening at the water. The route is easy and flat, so this is a simple way to reach the inlet without committing to a longer walk. At the shore, you can look across the inlet, then retrace the same path to the lane.
